Well....I do know the fish have nothing to do with my art. But, I like them and after hours of debating what my blog redo should look like and looking at thousands of templates I came across these fish. They made me happy. In a way, they are apart of my art. I paint best when I am happy so fish it is.
I also like that the picture poses a question. Are the fish jumping to a glass that is more than half full or are they jumping to the glass that is half empty? The optimist in me believes they are jumping to freedom and their glass is half empty.
So what do you think of the fish??

I liked the fish too (they are a joy-provoking, exhuberant bunch) but didn't meditate on what they were "doing" until I read your post and took another look and thought about it. Ah, the profound in the simple. I think that one brave fish has jumped from the known "bad" (overcrowded fishbowl -- even though friend and family also live there) to the unknown possibilities of a "wider world". (Ok, from the outside looking in, we know it's just a bigger fishbowl -- but for the moment he has it and all the marvelous possibilities of it to himself, in wonderment, and who knows if this isn't what we who inhabit the earth look like to the Great Spirit??) Humankind has only advanced when some brave, wise, hopeful, or committed person was willing to jump into the unknown. Aristotle was a fish who leaped with his thoughts and reasoning. Galileo was a fish who leaped with his science. DaVinci was a fish who leaped art and intellect. Monet was a fish who leaped his brush. Neal Armstrong was a fish who leaped with a single step.
